Global Business Development Manager
Position Summary
The Global Business Development Manager (GBDM) is a senior, revenue-generating leader responsible for driving international growth for the company’s outsourcing portfolio directly reporting to CEO. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, client engagement, and market execution — translating global market intelligence into actionable pipelines, multi-regional client partnerships, and sustainable revenue streams.
The GBDM will own the full business development lifecycle across multiple geographies: from market entry planning and lead generation to deal structuring, contract negotiation, and post-sale expansion. This individual will work closely with delivery, operations, and executive leadership to align growth initiatives with organizational capabilities.
Core Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning & Market Entry
- Develop and execute multi-year global business development strategies aligned with company growth objectives and outsourcing service lines.
- Identify, assess, and prioritize new markets, geographies, and verticals with high-growth outsourcing potential.
- Lead competitive intelligence initiatives — analyzing market trends, competitor positioning, and pricing dynamics to inform strategic decisions.
- Define go-to-market strategies for new service offerings, including partnerships, alliances, and channel programs.
- Collaborate with the executive team on annual revenue targets, geographic expansion roadmaps, and investment planning.
2. Market Adaptation & Localization
- Adapt value propositions, sales messaging, and service packaging to meet the regulatory, cultural, and commercial requirements of target markets.
- Build region-specific playbooks for client acquisition, proposal delivery, and contract execution.
- Monitor shifts in outsourcing demand across verticals (BPO, IT, Finance, HR, Customer Experience) and pivot strategies accordingly.
- Forge relationships with local chambers of commerce, trade bodies, and industry associations to build regional credibility and market access.
3. Resource Allocation & Pipeline Management
- Define and manage the business development budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across regions, campaigns, and client pursuits.
- Build and maintain a qualified global sales pipeline through structured prospecting, inbound demand generation, and partner referrals.
- Work cross-functionally with delivery and workforce planning teams to assess capacity against pipeline commitments before deal closure.
- Implement and optimize CRM systems and sales reporting frameworks to ensure accurate forecasting and pipeline visibility for senior leadership.
- Establish KPIs and performance dashboards to track lead conversion, deal velocity, win rates, and revenue attainment.
4. Business Growth & Revenue Ownership
- Own and exceed annual revenue and new logo targets across assigned regions and service lines.
- Lead end-to-end pursuit management for strategic deals: from qualification and solution scoping through commercial negotiation and contract execution.
- Develop pricing strategies and commercial models (outcome-based, FTE, managed services) that are competitive, profitable, and aligned with client needs.
- Structure and close multi-year outsourcing contracts, Master Service Agreements (MSAs), and SLA frameworks.
- Collaborate with finance and legal to ensure deal economics meet margin thresholds and contractual risk is mitigated.
5. Client Expansion & Relationship Management
- Build and nurture C-suite relationships (CXO, COO, CFO, CPO) within target accounts across multiple geographies.
- Design and execute account expansion strategies to grow wallet share within existing client relationships through cross-sell and upsell motions.
- Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and executive engagement sessions to reinforce value delivery and identify new growth opportunities.
- Develop a robust referral and advocacy network among satisfied clients, industry influencers, and ecosystem partners.
- Represent the company at global industry events, conferences, and forums as a visible brand ambassador.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- 10+ years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or strategic accounts within the outsourcing, BPO, or professional services industry.
